PMU Brows

Also known as Micro-shading, this is a technique used in permanent makeup that involves shading in the eyebrows with fine, tiny dots. This is done by implanting pigment into the skin using a handheld machine and sterile needle cartridge. Once healed, this technique creates a soft powder filled in eyebrow appearance similar to makeup. Suitable for all skin types. The healed result can last from 1.5-4 years. Color retention varies per client.

Fine Line Tattoos

Fine line tattooing uses small needles (often a single or three needles) to create thin, delicate, and intricate tattoos with minimal shading. Fine line tattoos can last as long as traditional tattoos as long as the technique is done correctly, stretching and understanding proper needle depth. Fine line tattoos heal softer and may require a touch-up depending on desired results.

PMU Brows Aftercare

Please keep in mind your eyebrow tattoo immediately is still considered an open wound and should be treated and cared for as such. Be sure to wash your hands thoroughly before touching your brows.

Proper Care after your procedure is VERY IMPORTANT in order to achieve the best healed results.

Your results are Part PRECARE, ARTIST TECHNIQUE, and your AFTERCARE once you leave your appointment.

Please be patient, the first session is to see how your skin responds to the pigment. In many cases some unevenness and color loss is to be expected.

The purpose of the touch up is to address and make any minor adjustments necessary to the healed results from your initial session.

For the first 1 hour after leaving your appointment, blot your brows every 15 minutes lightly to soak off any lymph fluid that may be secreting in the area, this will help ensure better healing.

24 hours after your appointment you will clean the area with a cotton ball or cotton round with filtered or distilled water. NO TAP WATER. Clean the area by blotting with the soaked cotton ball or round with light pressure until thoroughly cleaned, blot dry and apply aftercare tattoo salv. Clean eyebrows like this 2-3 times daily (morning, sometime in the afternoon, and night) until they have completely flaked or peeled. Ice packs protected with a clean barrier may be applied as necessary to reduce swelling. Sleeping slightly elevated helps alleviate swelling sometimes seen in the morning after facial procedures.

Wash your hands before touching any treated area. Cotton ball may be used to gently cleanse the procedure area. Do not expose the area to dirty or unsanitary conditions.

Some itching is normal. DO NOT PICK, PEEL, OR SCRATCH the treated area or your color will heal unevenly and you risk scarring and infection.

No makeup is to be applied until after the procedure site has gone through its superficial healing process (peeling is done) on the tattoo area.

Do not expose your healing skin to direct shower spray, skin creams, ointments, or lotions other than what you have been instructed to use until the procedure site has finished its superficial healing process.

Do not expose your healing skin to direct sun, tanning beds, hot tubs (tub bath if body area treated), saunas, saltwater, chlorinated pools, or extremely hot water for 14 days following your procedure.

After eyebrows have peeled you are free to resume normal activities.

Signs and symptoms of infection include, but not limited to, severe redness, swelling, severe tenderness of the procedure site, red streaks going from the procedure site towards the heart, elevated body temperature, or purulent drainage from the procedure site. Discharge from site may be green/yellow in color and foul in odor.

CONTACT YOUR PMUA AND SEEK MEDICAL CARE IF ANY SIGNS OR SYMPTOMS OF INFECTION DEVELOP.

PMU Brows Healing Process

The healing process takes 6-10 weeks depending on your age and immune system. The final result of how your new tattoo healed will appear after 30 days.

Days 1-5 pigment will appear darker and bolder. Swelling And redness will start to subside as time goes on. Itching may occur and is normal.

DO NOT ITCH OR PICK OR SCRATCH the procedure site.

Day 5-10 The tattoo will begin to flake or peel. Similar to a sunburn peeling. DO NOT touch, pick, scratch the area. Let the flakes fall off on their own naturally. Picking at the site can remove pigment, cause scarring or infection.

Day 10-5 your tattoo is just about done peeling and may seem lighter or as if the color did not stay. This is normal and the color will start to resurface with time. The epidermal layer of the skin is healing and may appear opaque in the process. Rest assured the pigment will begin to push back to the outer layer of the skin as the skin cells regenerate.

Day 15-45 Skin cells are still turning over and regenerating. The color is slowly pushing back to the surface of the skin and by day 45 the color will return and at week 6 you will come back for a touch up to perfect the healed initial session results.

PMU Brow Techniques

Ombré Powder Brows/ Powder Brows
Also known as Micro-shading is a technique used in Permanent makeup that involves shading in the eyebrows with fine tiny dots. This is done by implanting pigment into the skin using a hand held machine and sterile needle cartridge. Once healed this technique creates a soft powder filled in eyebrow appearance similar to makeup.

Nano Machine Hair Strokes
Permanent makeup technique that involves creating hair-like strokes on the eyebrows using a specialized tattooing machine. This technique is used to mimic the appearance of natural eyebrow hair, and can help to fill in sparse areas or reshape the brows. The strokes are finer and more precise than traditional microblading, and the results tend to last longer. The strokes are also placed in the way in which your natural brow hairs grow and not so much of a uniform look.

Hybrid Combo Brows
Erika’s Signature Hybrid Combo Brows is the best of both brow worlds. Results giving fluffy and defined brows looks. Using two of her favorite techniques she creates Nano strokes in the fronts of the brows for extra fluffy naturalness and Powder Pixels for the filled in definition and fullness

Lip Blush Procedure

Lip blush is a cosmetic procedure that enhances the appearance of the lips by adding a subtle wash of color. It is a semi-permanent makeup technique that provides a natural-looking tint to the lips, giving them a soft, flushed effect. The procedure involves depositing pigment into the upper layers of the skin, creating a more defined and evenly colored lip shape.

During a lip blush procedure, a skilled technician uses a small handheld device with a fine needle to implant the pigment into the lips. Prior to the procedure, a numbing cream is usually applied to minimize any discomfort. The technician carefully selects a pigment shade that aligns with your desired lip color, taking into consideration your skin tone and personal preferences.

The process typically begins by outlining the lips to create a defined shape, and then the pigment is gradually applied to fill in the entire lip area. The technician may use different techniques like shading or feathering to achieve a natural gradient effect. The result is a soft, tinted lip color that enhances the natural beauty of your lips.

Lip blush is a popular option for those who want to enhance their lip color, add definition, or correct asymmetry. The semi-permanent nature of the procedure means that the color gradually fades over time, typically lasting for about 1-3 years. Touch-up sessions may be required to maintain the desired intensity of color.

Lip Blush Healing

After getting a lip blush procedure, there is a healing process that you will go through. Here are some general guidelines:

1. Swelling and Redness: It is normal to experience some swelling and redness immediately after the procedure. This should subside within a few days.

2. Dryness and Peeling: Your lips may feel dry and start to peel as part of the healing process. It is important not to pick at or peel off any dry skin. Let it naturally exfoliate on its own.

3. Color Intensity: Initially, your lips may appear darker and more intense than the desired final result. This is because the pigment is still settling and the top layer of the skin is healing. The color will gradually lighten and soften during the healing process.

4. Scabbing: It is common to experience some scabbing or crusting on the lips. Avoid picking or scratching at the scabs, as it can interfere with the healing and affect the final result.

5. Moisturizing: Keeping your lips moisturized is crucial for the healing process. Apply a gentle, non-irritating lip balm or ointment recommended by your technician to prevent dryness and promote healing.

6. Avoiding Certain Activities: During the initial healing period, it is advised to avoid activities that may cause excessive moisture or irritation to the lips, such as swimming, hot showers, saunas, or using harsh lip products.

7. Follow Aftercare Instructions: Your technician will provide you with specific aftercare instructions tailored to your needs. Follow them diligently to ensure proper healing and long-lasting results.

Remember, individual healing experiences may vary, and it is essential to consult with your technician for personalized guidance.

Lash Liner After Care

Aftercare is so important in order to prevent sensitivity or problems after you have your treatment. Following properly will also help with the longevity of your eyeliner.

Please read the following Aftercare advice and follow until you’re fully peeled.

PERMANENT EYELINER AFTERCARE
• Using a fresh Q-Tip, apply a light coat of Vaseline to the tattooed area twice a day. Keeping the area moist during the first 5-7 days will help the tattooed area hold color and heal evenly. It is normal for the pigment to fade 30-50% within the first two weeks.

• Do not touch the tattooed area with your fingers. This increases your risk of infection.

• Do not rub or scratch your eyes. This increases your risk of a corneal abrasion.

• If you should experience swelling, an ice pack may be applied using a thin protective barrier such as a paper towel. Icing is most effective in the first 24 hours following the procedure. Sleeping with your head slightly elevated can also reduce any residual swelling.

• Do not apply makeup or mascara on or near the tattooed area for 7 days. Purchase new makeup or mascara to avoid contamination or bacterial infection.

• Do not scrub or pick at the tattooed area. Doing so can cause the pigment underneath to be pulled out. Allow the epithelial skin to flake off by itself.

• Do not use makeup remover or creams and avoid pools and hot tubs for two weeks.

• With freshly washed hands, you may gently cleanse the eye area with tepid water. Avoid cleansers, soap and washcloths.

• Do not wear contact lenses for 72 hours following the procedure. If possible, use a new pair.

• Sunglasses are recommended to protect the eyes when outside.

• Please notify your Doctor immediately should you experience any of the following symptoms: redness in or around the eye, matting or drainage, pain that becomes increasingly worse, difficulty keeping your eyes open, sensitivity to light.

• Remember to schedule a touch up appointment within 8-2 weeks to avoid paying an additional touch-up fee to the $125 touch up fee

Fine Line Tattoo After Care

Your tattoo will typically take 4 weeks to completely heal.

AVOID FOR 4 WEEKS:
  • No gym or hot sauna
  • No submerging tattoo in pool or river water
  • No direct sunlight, waxing, tanning, or rubbing

Your tattoo will go may go through the peeling and itching phase depending on how big and detailed it is, so expect scabs and itchiness.

Please do not pick at the scabs or itch it.

IF YOUR TATTOO IS SMALLER THAN 5 INCHES:
  • The saniderm (plastic film) comes off 72 hours after your appt
  • Please take it off during the shower by running it under warm water first, and then slowly peel it by lifting parallel to your skin.
  • If the saniderm is too sticky, you may use any non-scented soap to help lubricate
  • Any left over sticky residue will come off by itself, so please do not try to peel it
  • After the shower, pat dry and apply a little bit of ointment to keep the tattoo moisturized at all times until completely peeled off or healed

IF YOUR TATTOO IS BIGGER THAN 5 INCHES:
  • Within 1-2 hours from your appointment: Please gently wash with any non-scented soap and then pat dry
  • The next day: Please apply ointment to the tattoo and keep it moisturized at all tímes until the tattoo is completely peeled off or healed
  • Please keep in mind that the expected healed results are very fine, and soft, and can be patchy, or in other words, "vintage" looking.
  • If you would prefer more solid and bolder lines, please book a touch-up appointment within 1-2 months.

Fine Line Tattoo Expectations

Fineline tattoos are done right underneath the epidermis layer, which can allow the tattoo to fade and may need a touch-up.

Tattoos are done with a single needle or a 3-needle and lines may not be perfect compared to a traditional body tattoo with thicker lines and shading.

Please take the time to review the Terms and Policies on my booking site in regard to rescheduling, no-shows, cancellations, and guests.

I specialize in fine line tattooing so the lines are thin and not thick. The biggest needle I'll use is a .35 diameter 3 round liner and the smallest needle I'll use is a .25 diameter 3 round liner.
